THE BEGINNING OF A VAST JOURNEY
Around the 27th century, humanity's bold steps crossed the solar system and led to new terrestrial planets. Migration began with the goal of securing resources and clean living places for human being, and over the next 1,000 years, humanity advanced to about 100 Earth-like planets and formed a huge empire. A pollutant called Demonite spread to Earth through meteorites, further accelerating interplanetary migration.
'Verses of Forgotten Girls' is a story about a girl living on Earth-92 in the Kepler planetary system in 4202 AD. This ordinary girl, a 5th generation immigrant from the Earth, began having mysterious dreams one day. Every night she dreamed of being someone else, and these dreams were so amazingly real and vivid that even after she woke up, the events of her dream were as haunting as if she had experienced them firsthand. The girl found these experiences interesting, but at the same time she was scared and confused. Because everything that happened in her dream felt like her own doing.As her experiences in her dreams increased day by day, it became increasingly difficult for her to distinguish between reality and the dream world. What is a dream and what is reality?

CH 1. DEMONITE
Beginning in 2977 AD, meteorites rained down from the sky and brought unexpected disasters to Earth. The blue mineral 'demonite' contained in these meteorites had mysterious powers. People exposed to this mineral experienced hallucinations and illusions, and scientists struggled to unravel the mystery of this phenomenon, but were unable to come to any meaningful conclusions.
People exposed to Demonite began to experience significant physical and mental changes. Their bodies gradually changed into devil-like appearances, and their behavior became increasingly violent. Due to their extreme symptoms, society stigmatized them as 'infected' rather than 'victims' in fear and disgust.
World leaders responded collectively to this threat and began isolating symptomatic people. However, the Demonite continued to fall across the Earth and began to affect more and more people and wild animals.
However, an unexpected phenomenon occurred among people exposed to Demonite. The emotions and experiences of those exposed to Demonite were naturally being shared with other Demonite victims nearby. This phenomenon seemed to work the same way not only for humans but also for animals exposed to demonites. Wild animals that had been turned into monsters also began to understand the emotions and experiences of people who had been turned into monsters. However, their rapport only served as a reason for the general public to take a more hostile attitude towards monsters.
